The racing subcommittee will determine the handicap cut off for each class and their decisions in that regard shall be final. As you will see from the racing notes handicaps will be adjusted weekly and on the basis of such adjustment a boat may move class at the end of a series. In the interest of safety each boat should obtain the contact telephone number of the OOD before each race. Insurance Declaration An Insurance Declaration is attached to this newsletter and must be completed and returned to the Sailing Secretary Brian Hickey or the OOD on duty, prior to participating in any race or Club sailing event. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. OOD Your date as OOD is set out in the racing programme. If you are unable to attend as specified please arrange for the attendance of a suitable substitute in good time. The OOD pack must be returned to Jim Hughes after each race.
Subscriptions The annual subscription is €50.00 and should be paid to Hon Treasurer Eleanor Reilly forthwith and in any event not later than April 23rd. Any membership not paid by that date will lapse and a member whose sub remains unpaid after that date will not be eligible for a series or open prize. Subs should be paid by cheque but if being paid by cash must be accompanied by details (name and address). Subs should not in any circumstances be handed to the OOD on day of racing. NEW MEMBERS Some of you have regular crew over the years who are not members themselves of the club. Please encourage them (or any other prospective sailors) to join as it will help us to include them in emailing, encourage them to participate more in the club activities including committee. The cost is €50 which offers great value even in these difficult times. The new member form is on the last page of this newsletter or available on the website. WOW The Women on the Water event which was a major success last season will take place this year on September 17th. Details will be announced later. |
